VenueOra

ePOS for venues

Tills, kitchen screens and card payments from one partnership

VenueOra offers ePOS for attractions and venues through Posso, our hardware and installation partner, which supplies, installs and supports the tills, kitchen display, digital menu boards, table ordering and online ordering. VenueOra processes the card payments taken on Posso tills and runs your ticketing and admissions alongside.

Step by step

How it works

  1. 1

    Specify the sites and tills

We list every point of sale across your sites: bars, restaurants, cafes, kiosks and retail. Posso specifies tills, kitchen display screens and menu boards for each, and we agree which licence fits.

  2. 2

    Posso installs and trains

Posso supplies and installs the hardware, connects tills to the kitchen display and trains your team on them. Posso reports free setup and training across its customers, with UK-based support afterwards.

  3. 3

    Orders flow to the kitchen

Whether a guest orders at the bar, at a kiosk, from a table or online, the order reaches the kitchen display system in sequence, and the card payment is processed by VenueOra.

  4. 4

    Licence, hardware and payments quoted

Software licences are £25 a month plus VAT for one user, £45 a month plus VAT, or a one-off £1,399 plus VAT for an unlimited licence. Posso quotes hardware, installation and training; card processing is quoted with your plan.

What you get

ePOS tills for attractions and venues

Posso ePOS tills for bars, cafes, restaurants and retail in theme parks, arenas, leisure centres and members' clubs. Supplied, installed, trained and supported by Posso, with VenueOra processing the card payments.

Kitchen display system

Orders from tills, kiosks, tables and online ordering reach the kitchen display in sequence. The screen replaces printed order tickets and keeps the kitchen working one queue whichever way the guest ordered.

Digital menu boards

Digital menu boards supplied and installed by Posso alongside the tills, so prices and specials are managed on screen rather than printed and pinned up.

Table ordering and booking

Table ordering and waiter pads for restaurants and members' clubs, and table booking through TableMaestro, all supplied through Posso under one installation.

Online ordering and delivery

Online ordering sites and branded apps under your own name, plus delivery integrations with Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo, so the kitchen sees delivery orders beside the bar's.

Card payments processed by VenueOra

VenueOra provides the payment processing on the Posso platform. Card data goes to a PCI DSS Level 1 acquiring partner and never touches your tills, kiosks or lockers. Till sales themselves stay in the Posso system.

Why one partnership

Posso runs the till. VenueOra runs the card payment and the ticket.

Most attractions buy a hospitality system and a ticketing system from two companies that have never met. Under our partnership Posso supplies and supports the tills, kitchen display and ordering, and VenueOra processes the card payments on that platform and runs ticketing, memberships and the door. The two systems stay separate; the people behind them do not.

Posso's platform, our payments

Posso supplies, installs, trains and supports tills, kitchen display, menu boards, kiosks and ordering. VenueOra provides the payment processing on that platform plus custom development and integrations.

Tickets and admissions from VenueOra

Event and timed-entry ticketing, memberships, QR check-in and door terminals come from VenueOra, so the company that processes your bar payments also runs your admissions. The till and the ticket are separate systems; the partnership is one.

Lockers in the same partnership

LockVault, our smart-locker service, is part of the partnership too: VenueOra brings LockVault integration to Posso sites, so a venue that wants tills, kiosks and lockers deals with the same two companies throughout.

Posso's figures, attributed

Posso reports 500+ UK restaurants and venues on its platform. Any order value, speed or labour figure on this page is Posso's, from its own customers, and is labelled as such.

Outcomes

What changes for your venue

01

Faster service, says Posso

Posso reports service up to three times faster and labour cost reductions of up to 25% across its own customers. Those figures are Posso's. We will tell you what is realistic for your sites after seeing them.

02

One partnership to call

Posso supports the hardware it installed, with a critical support response Posso reports as under 15 minutes. VenueOra supports the card processing, ticketing and integrations. Neither of us tells you to call the other.

03

Licence prices you can see

The three ePOS licences are published: £25 a month plus VAT for one user, £45 a month plus VAT, or £1,399 plus VAT once for unlimited use. Hardware and installation are quoted by Posso, so the total is one document.

About the figures on this page

ePOS, kiosk and kitchen display hardware is supplied, installed and supported by Posso Ltd under our partnership. Performance figures are Posso's, from its own customers.

FAQ

Questions venues ask

What does an ePOS for attractions and venues need that a restaurant till does not?

Mostly the same things, plus a partner who also understands admissions. The hardware is standard Posso ePOS, supplied, installed and supported by Posso, with kitchen display, menu boards and kiosks from the same platform, and it runs a bar in a theme park the same way it runs a restaurant. What an attraction adds is tickets, passes and a door, which VenueOra runs, and card processing on the till, which VenueOra provides. One partnership covers both.

What is a kitchen display system and do I need one?

A kitchen display system is a screen in the kitchen that shows orders from every channel in sequence instead of printed tickets. Orders from tills, kiosks, table ordering and delivery integrations arrive on one list, so the kitchen works one queue. You need one if orders arrive from more than one place, which is true of most attractions at peak. Posso supplies, installs and supports the kitchen display alongside the tills.

Does this work as an ePOS for bars and nightclubs?

Yes. Posso tills handle fast bar service with contactless and chip and PIN card machines and next-day settlement, and the same platform runs table ordering and digital menu boards. For late-night venues VenueOra adds the door: event tickets with members-only and age rules, QR check-in that rejects a used ticket, and an incident and refusal log. The bar till and the door system are separate; VenueOra processes the card payments on the till.

Will my bar sales show up in VenueOra reports?

No. Till sales live in the Posso system, which has its own reporting. VenueOra processes the card payments taken on Posso tills, and VenueOra's own reports cover what VenueOra sells: ticket and membership sales, VAT, year-on-year comparison, daily capacity and, for session venues, session reports. If you need bar takings and ticket income in one place, that is an export from each system, and we will say so rather than promise a single report.

Who supplies and supports the hardware?

Posso, our hardware and installation partner, supplies, installs, trains and supports the tills, kitchen display, menu boards, kiosks and card machines. Across Posso's customers, setup and training are free, support is UK-based and critical support response is under 15 minutes. VenueOra provides the payment processing on the Posso platform, the ticketing and admissions, custom integrations and the LockVault locker integration. It is a two-way partnership, and you are not left between two suppliers.

What does ePOS cost per till?

The software licence is published: £25 a month plus VAT for one user, aimed at start-up businesses; £45 a month plus VAT for the next option; or an unlimited licence for a one-off £1,399 plus VAT. Tills, kiosks, kitchen display, card machines, installation and training are quoted by Posso with the licence, and card processing is quoted with your plan. Posso reports free setup and training for its customers. Send us your site list and we return one written quote.
