Theme parks
Timed entry, season passes and QR gates on one guest record
VenueOra is theme park ticketing software for UK parks that also sells the season pass, checks guests in at the gate and assigns the locker. Food kiosks and retail tills come from Posso, lockers from LockVault, and every guest has one record.
A day at your venue
What happens, in order
- 01
A time slot booked at home
The guest picks a date and an arrival session from the branded checkout. Each session has its own capacity, adult and child tickets each have their own price and capacity, and the ticket arrives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- 02
Scanned once at the turnstile
Gate staff scan the QR code and the ticket is marked used; a second scan is rejected. Season pass holders are found by member search in reception mode, and live capacity shows the park filling against the day’s sessions.
- 03
Lunch ordered at a kiosk
Self-ordering kiosks supplied and installed by Posso, our hardware and installation partner, take the order and send it to a kitchen display. VenueOra provides the payment processing on the Posso platform.
- 04
Bags locked, phones charging
LockVault, our smart-locker service, fits locker banks of 24 to 240 doors near the big rides. The hardware runs on VenueOra Locker Management, so a locker is assigned to a ticket and opened by NFC tag or an emailed PIN.
- 05
The season pass renews itself
Season passes are annual or monthly plans priced by the park. Renewal reminders go out before the due date, lifecycle emails follow due, lapsed and win-back members, and members-only ticket types open pass-holder events.
- 06
The day closes in the reports
The daily capacity report shows each session against its cap, the sales and VAT reports cover every ticket type, and year-on-year comparison sets this bank holiday against the last one.

What the venue runs on
-
01
Timed entryTimed entry with capacity per session
Sessions on a calendar carry their own capacity and buffer time before and after, so a bank holiday cannot oversell. Staff move a booking between sessions when a family arrives early, and the daily capacity report shows what is left.
-
Season passes that renew
Annual and monthly plans priced by the park, with renewal reminders and lifecycle emails for due, lapsed and win-back members. Members-only ticket types and scheduled publishing give pass holders events of their own.
-
03
PaymentsPayments, refunds and payouts
Apple Pay, Google Pay and card at checkout. Refund an order, cancel tickets, resend a confirmation by email or SMS and reissue tickets from the order. Payouts follow merchant verification, and fees are per ticket.
-
Self-ordering kiosks for food
Kiosks take the lunchtime queue off the counter and send orders straight to the kitchen display. Posso reports up to 30% higher average order value with kiosks across its own customers, and supplies, installs and supports the hardware.
-
Lockers on revenue share
Fitted banks of 24 to 240 lockers in four sizes, with charging variants carrying USB-C, USB-A and Qi pads. LockVault funds, installs, runs and maintains them at no upfront cost, and the park receives a share of rental revenue.
-
Retail and food ePOS
Tills for the gift shop and restaurants, kitchen display systems and digital menu boards, supplied, installed and supported by Posso. VenueOra provides the payment processing, so card data never touches the tills.
Outcomes
What changes for your venue
01
Arrivals spread across the day
Sessions with their own capacity let you sell the quiet morning as well as the busy afternoon, and live capacity gives operations a count of who is booked for each session before the car park fills.
02
One record per guest
The ticket, the season pass, the policies signed, the locker assignment and every message sent sit on one guest record, so a win-back email reaches the family who lapsed in March.
03
Lockers without capital spend
LockVault funds, installs, powers, runs, maintains and insures the lockers and sends an itemised statement on the 1st of each month. You give floor space and footfall and receive a share of rental revenue.
Why one platform
A theme park is six businesses on one site
Gate, pass office, restaurants, retail, lockers and payments usually run on six systems with six logins. VenueOra runs the gate, the pass office, the lockers and the payments on one guest record, with Posso on the food and retail hardware. ePOS, kiosk and kitchen display hardware is supplied, installed and supported by Posso Ltd under our partnership. Performance figures are Posso's, from its own customers.
Timed entry and passes together
A season pass holder books a session the same way a day guest does, through a members-only ticket type, and scans the same way at the gate. Session capacity counts both, so a busy Saturday is planned rather than discovered.
Kiosks and tills from one partner
Posso supplies, installs, trains on and supports the kiosks, tills, kitchen display systems and digital menu boards. VenueOra provides the payment processing on that platform, so one group answers for the gate and the counter.
Card data stays off your hardware
Card payments at the gate, the kiosk, the till and the locker run through a PCI DSS Level 1 acquiring partner. Card data never touches your tills, kiosks or lockers.
FAQ
Questions venues ask
What should theme park ticketing software in the UK include?
Timed entry with capacity per session, season passes that renew, QR check-in at the gate and reports a finance lead can close the day on. VenueOra provides each of those from one platform. Tickets go out by email and to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet with a unique QR code, the gate rejects a ticket that has already been used, and reports cover sales, VAT, year-on-year comparison and daily capacity. Food kiosks and retail tills come from Posso.
Can we sell season passes and day tickets from the same checkout?
Yes. Season passes are annual or monthly subscription plans priced by the park, and they sell on the same branded site as day tickets. Pass holders sign in by password or magic link, see outstanding payments in their account and add tickets to Apple or Google Wallet. Renewal reminders and lifecycle emails for due, lapsed and win-back members replace chasing, and members-only ticket types with scheduled publishing give pass holders their own events.
How do time slots and capacity work for a park?
You create sessions on a calendar, give each its capacity and a buffer before and after, and the checkout closes a session when it fills. Each ticket type on the event also has its own price and capacity, so adult, child and concession can run out independently. Staff can move a booking between sessions from the order, and the daily capacity report shows every session against its cap through the day.
Who supplies the self-ordering kiosks and the tills?
Posso, our hardware and installation partner, supplies, installs, trains on and supports the self-ordering kiosks, ePOS tills, kitchen display systems and digital menu boards. VenueOra provides the payment processing on the Posso platform and the ticketing and admissions. Posso reports up to 30% higher average order value with kiosks and critical support response under 15 minutes across its own customers; those figures are Posso's, not ours.
What do the lockers cost the park?
Nothing upfront and nothing to operate. LockVault, our smart-locker service, funds, installs, powers, connects, runs, maintains and insures the lockers; the park provides floor space and footfall and receives a share of rental revenue. An itemised statement arrives on the 1st of each month with payout by the 15th. Fitted banks run from 24 to 240 lockers in four sizes, including charging variants, and a proposal follows within 48 hours of a site review.
Is support based in the UK?
Yes. VenueOra is a UK company with UK-based support for ticketing, passes and payments, and an in-app support chat sits inside the dashboard. Posso provides UK-based support for the kiosks, tills and kitchen display hardware it installs, and LockVault monitors the lockers 24/7 from a remote operations dashboard and handles locker support, refunds and maintenance itself. Platform plans are published on our pricing page, with bespoke pricing for groups.
